EC2 Concrete / EC7 Geotechnical (Rigid Base Method)1. Geometry & Loads
Load Application Guide:
• Axial (N): Positive downwards (compression).
• Moments (Mx, My): Positive Mx causes tension at the bottom face along the X-axis (sagging moment). Positive shear pushes the right face upwards.
• Applied Moments (Mx, My): Positive Mx (about the x-axis) causes bending in the Y-direction where the moment is applied from bottom to top, while Positive My (about the y-axis) causes bending in the X-direction where the moment is applied from the left to the right.
• Load Input: Ensure inputs are separated strictly into Characteristic Dead (Gk) and Live (Qk) forces. Factors will be applied automatically per the 'Materials' tab.
